Note the apparently inexorable trend shown in these 2 charts above.
1) The % of GDP spent by Germany, EU, France, and the US is trending towards the same egregiously large and unsustainable number: 42%.
2) The % of population that is employed in the US and the EU is trending towards the same unacceptable unsustainable (for the economy) number: 66%
3) Note that both these undesirable trends accelerated in the Obama years.
Obama's policy of "Spreading the wealth around" in the US, following the European socialistic trends, really amounts to a policy of "Beggar thy neighbor", and really only results in "spreading the economic pain around".
Strong evidence exists, and strong arguments can be made that reason for the disastrous results of the Obama economic policies is that they were all developed by people with no real world experience. Obama's people are all academicians and others who have been supping at the public trough all their lives, and have no real world experience.
Examples: Tim Geithner, Stephen Chew, Austen Goolsbey, Larry7 Summers, Oama himself, whose only experience was as a community organizer, college professor, and state legislator.
Senator Tom Coburn, on Mary Matalin's radio show today, suggested that nobody be allowed to serve in government unless they first accumulated a TBD (to be determined) number of years working in the real world, the real economy. What a concept.
The pernicious Anti-Semitism that is flaring up again today in Europe is an ongoing virulent infection in the body politic of Europe that has been there for over 2000 years and counting. Pogroms and murder of Jews, from Betar, to the Crusades, to Chelminitski, to the Holocaust, to today's anti-Israel manifestations (see Gunther Grass anti-Israel "poem"), has always relied on terrible economic times as their starting flash points.
To date, antisemitism of the European ilk has thankfully never happened in America before, not even during the Great Depression. But when America is inexorably transformed into Europe's, then will America also drink in and be infected with Europe's undying Anti-Semitism?
